JENNIE LEE ANDERSON has extensive experience representing plaintiffs in a variety of class action and complex litigation cases. Her current practice focuses on representing individuals and classes in employment, product liability, consumer, civil rights, antitrust and mass tort cases.
Originally from Indianapolis, Indiana, Ms. Anderson earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and her Juris Doctor degree from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law. In law school, Ms. Anderson served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Martin J. Jenkins in the Northern District of California, San Francisco Division, and was a legal intern with Legal Aid of Cambodia in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, during which time she authored a paper on the treatment of juveniles in the developing Cambodian legal system.
Upon graduating from law school, Ms. Anderson joined the law firm of Lieff Cabraser Heimann & Bernstein, LLP, where she represented plaintiffs in a variety of class and representative cases regarding product liability, antitrust, employment and public safety matters, including an action against the firearms industry aimed at reducing handgun violence. She went on to practice with the law firm of Lerach Coughlin Stoia Geller Rudman & Robbins LLP (currently Robbins Geller Rudman & Dowd LLP) prosecuting both securities and consumer protection class actions. Ms. Anderson also has considerable knowledge of habeas corpus proceedings, having represented indigent inmates on California’s death row at the highly regarded Habeas Corpus Resource Center.
In 2011, Ms. Anderson was selected as a Northern California Super Lawyer for attaining a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. Ms. Anderson is an active member of the American Association for Justice (“AAJ”) and a co-chair the AAJ Class Action Litigation Group. Ms. Anderson is also a member of the San Francisco Trial Lawyers Association, Consumer Attorneys of California, the Bar Association of San Francisco and the Public Justice Foundation. She is a frequent lecturer and author on a variety of issues relating to class actions and complex litigation. An active member of the California Bar, Ms. Anderson is admitted to practice before the United States District Courts for the Northern, Southern, Central and Eastern Districts of California, and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
